Mandi Mitchell is the Assistant Secretary at Louisiana Economic Development (LED). Prior to her current role, Mitchell served as LED Director of Governmental Affairs beginning in 2012. Before joining LED, Mitchell was an independent business owner and governmental affairs consultant covering economic development, oil & gas, real estate, child & family issues, and K-12 and higher education issues.

Before launching her own firm, Mitchell spent nine years in the private sector as an engineer and then governmental affairs manager at BellSouth/AT&T.

Mitchell is a Lafayette native who attended Alice Boucher, N.P. Moss, and graduated from Northside High School in 1995. She went on to earn a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of New Orleans in 2000 and an MBA from UNO in 2003.
