VAnne Falgout is a 15-year economic development veteran and Abbeville native. In 2014 she was hired by the newly-created Vermilion Economic Development Alliance to assist companies, both large and small, with their decision-making, growth strategy and sustainability. As the Alliance’s Executive Director she represents the parish on the Acadiana Economic Development Council and regional planning district loan review board, and the business community on the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce board where she serves as the Vice President of Business Development.
She is a past President of the705, and served on the Board of Directors for six years on the Communications, Philanthropy, Programming and Executive committees.
She maintains her membership in the705 and is also a member of FUEL Vermilion, a similar organization in Vermilion Parish. Anne was the 2016 Chair of the Acadiana Regional Alliance and a 2016 board member for One Acadiana. She is a community columnist for The Daily Advertiser, penning the weekly cooking blog “Chef Anne Specials,” and also serves on the paper’s Editorial Board. Anne is a mother of three and self-described, “home cook, word slinger, and live music enthusiast.” She advocates for professional development and the need for a pipeline of young, inspired Acadiana leaders.
