Born and raised in Opelousas, LA, I moved to Lafayette in December of 2004 to look for better opportunities. I’ve worked the past 14 years in IT consulting and administration. During that time, I’ve worked in government, health, financial, and non-profit businesses. As a consultant, I’ve worked alongside other industries such as law, insurance, oilfield, and manufacturing. I currently serve on the Arc of Acadiana’s charity golf board and the Carencro High School – Academy of Information Technology advisory board. Recently I’ve been asked to join the SLCC IT advisory board for the 2017-2018 year. In 2012, I joined the705 and have become a more active member in the past year including attending the Bertrand Drive cleanup, attending social events, and speaking with other young professionals looking to become part of the705. Rodney Hess, Patrick LaBauve, Adam Chapman, Cory LaGrange and myself also put on Social Media Breakfast very month. We also coordinate together to put on Social Media Day on the last Friday of June every year. At my current position, I’ve brought a lot of change to our organization including implementing the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). That lead to the creation of our core values, creating a corporate structure, and creating a business life cycle that brought together marketing, sales, finance, and operations. My changes have made our company more cohesive and provided more accountability to our everyday business.

I’m a very outgoing person and believe that I provide a unique energy to a group. I’m currently serving on 2 boards and believe that I can bring a unique perspective and knowledge that will help overcome complex issues. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am not afraid to tackle issues and get others involved with my cause. From work to boards, I have proven myself to be a leader and not a boss. I firmly believe in leading by example and that you have to show you are willing to do the work needed to get your goals accomplished. I also have 2 girls (3 years and 6 months) and I want to make sure that we have the best Acadiana around not just for them but for everyone. A strong, vibrant community with access to the arts, jobs, education, and open discussion of social topics is what I would like to see improved. While I know we are more progressive than other cities in the area, I firmly believe we can do better and that I can do my part in making it better. I’ve met so many gifted leaders in the705 and I firmly believe that I can build on what they started.
