Rusty Frioux is a technology executive, father, musician, entrepreneur, and lover of all things Louisiana.  He currently serves as Director of Information Systems for Tides Medical, a medical technology manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Lafayette.  

 A native of Iberville Parish, Rusty’s career has taken him to all corners of Louisiana and across the United States including Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Honolulu, Washington DC, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and now Acadiana.  He began his career with CGI (American Management Systems) where he built accounting systems for State governments.   Since 2012, Rusty has run professional service teams for himself and for other consulting firms, focusing primarily on data and analytics systems.

Rusty currently lives in Downtown Lafayette with his wife, Maggi and their two children where he does his best to balance work, family, community, and other interests.  He is a member of Leadership Louisiana Class XXXIII and the 705.   Rusty writes and produces music, plays with local bands, and serves as a business advisor to multiple music, cultural, and technology organizations.

Over the years, he has been a single father, a full-time graduate student, an entrepreneur, a road warrior, a software engineer, a professional services firm manager, and a production assistant for the Louisiana Superdome.   He holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Tulane University and a Master’s of Information Systems from LSU.
