What are one or two of your greatest business and/or community achievements?

I’m a technology leader specializing in healthcare data, analytics, and enterprise transformation. In my professional career, I’ve led the design and delivery of large-scale data platforms, observability-driven architectures, and AI-enabled solutions supporting healthcare claims optimization, compliance, and operational efficiency. As the use-case owner for a HIPAA compliance risk insights initiative, I’ve helped translate complex healthcare data into actionable intelligence for executive decision-making and risk mitigation.

Beyond my professional contributions, I’m deeply engaged in community and regional innovation efforts. I actively support initiatives focused on education, inclusion, and positioning the Acadiana region as a competitive hub for technology and healthcare innovation. I’m a Board Member for CSUSA Lafayette Charter Academy, Leadership Institute of Acadiana, and New Vision Leadership. I’ve also held several leadership roles, including President of the Acadiana Indian Association, CSR Lead for CGI’s Lafayette Center, and Vice President of the Cajun Toastmasters Club. Additionally, I mentor young innovators through the Congressional App Challenge and volunteer as a teacher at Valluvar Tamil School, helping nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators.

What’s your favorite thing about what you do for a living?

My favorite part of what I do is turning complex problems into practical solutions that create real impact. Whether improving healthcare operations or mentoring others, I enjoy building systems and teams that make a measurable difference.

Also, since 2016, I’ve proudly called Lafayette home with my wife Priya and two daughters Sai Ubhasna and Athisna. I’m deeply honored to contribute to the continued growth, innovation, and community spirit that make Acadiana such a vibrant place to live and serve.

You’ve led large-scale transformations for Cigna’s platforms and also built deep expertise in data analytics and AI. Can you share an example of a change you led that made a measurable difference for patients or customers?

In the healthcare industry, the majority of the issues will be on the claims. So there is a no-brainer for choosing insurance and taking that insurance when it matters. When you are filing a claim, how quickly the claims are adjudicated and how quickly you’ll be getting the benefits, that is really important. So in that perspective, I make a difference through my contribution to building a sophisticated, state of the art adjudication system, which will adjudicate accurately without impacting the provider (as well as the patients) and give you the results quickly so you save some money and have peace of mind.
