Hometown – Delcambre, LA

President & Owner, E & L Construction Group, LLC | Mayor of the Town of Delcambre 20 UNDER 40

What are one or two of your greatest business and/or community achievements?

My greatest community achievement is becoming the Mayor of Delcambre and

getting the opportunity to serve and give back to my community every day.

The business achievement I value most is the meaningful and lasting impact my company creates through every project we undertake. At E & L Construction Group, we don’t just build structures—we contribute to missions that matter. Each project represents an opportunity to serve those who serve or have served our country and to strengthen the infrastructure that supports critical federal operations. From honoring our nation’s heroes through work with the National Cemetery Administration to improving facilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs and supporting the readiness of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, and the Army Corps of Engineers, our efforts touch lives far beyond the job site. Knowing that our work helps preserve history, enhance security, and improve quality of life for veterans and service members gives every project a sense of purpose that goes beyond business—it’s about making a difference.

What’s your favorite thing about what you do for a living?

My favorite thing about what I do for a living is the opportunity to serve and give back—both through my business and in my community. Every day, I get to work on projects that make a real difference, whether it’s improving infrastructure for federal agencies or my community. Knowing that my efforts make a difference gives my work a sense of purpose that goes far beyond the job itself.

You hold an important professional role as President and Owner of E & L Construction Group while also being the Mayor of Delcambre. What has balancing professional life and public service taught you about leadership and community impact?

Balancing both of these roles as both an owner of a construction business and the Mayor of Delcambre, it’s tough. It’s not easy, but I do the best I can at balancing both. At the end of the day, the decisions I make have a greater impact on the community and the projects that we do. It’s not always about dollar signs. It’s not always about budgets. Every project we do, whether it’s with the business or with the town, it makes a difference.

I recognize that my actions reverberate in a much deeper way, because it affects not only me and my business, the community at large. They definitely make a difference and impact everyone. Not everyone will agree with the decisions that I make, whether a business owner as or as a leader in the community, but I do it with the best interest in mind.
