The705 Connect Program is your introduction to Acadiana’s premier young professionals network. Designed for emerging leaders from all backgrounds, Connect gives you the chance to meet current members, explore committees and events, and find your place in The705 community.
Hosted by our Membership Committee, the program is built to help you feel welcomed, engaged, and ready to stay active long-term. Applicants complete a brief 30-minute interview as part of the process.

ACADMEIC AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Every year, the705 supports our members by awarding scholarships to help cover the cost of education and career development. If you’re looking to take a class, earn a certification, or invest in your professional growth, this is a great opportunity!
We will be awarding four (4) scholarships of $500 each.
Only scholarship applications for active the705 members will be accepted, and funds can only be used for the applicant (no dependents).
Application for scholarship funds can be submitted for academic, trade, or professional development programs, courses, certifications, or credentialing exams with a minimum value of $500, to be completed within the current calendar year.
Applicants must complete the online application that includes a 500-word essay answering the question “How will this scholarship help you meet your personal or professional goals?” as well as a resume.
Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a testimonial (written or video).

EXCLUSIVELY ENGAGES MEMBERS WITH A DIFFERENT CIVIC LEADER EACH MONTH, IN A CANDID, COFFEE-FUELED DISCUSSION; SEATING IS LIMITED AND CONVERSATIONS ARE OFTEN ENLIGHTENING, IF NOT EXCITING.

PHILANTHROPY
WHETHER WE’RE CLEANING THE STREETS, RALLYING DONATIONS, SERVING UP LUNCH FOR THOSE IN NEED OR PLANTING TREES, THE PHILANTHROPY COMMITTEE GETS THEIR HANDS DIRTY ON A MONTHLY BASIS AND INVITES THE MEMBERSHIP TO JOIN IN ON THE FUN.

OUR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS PROVIDE EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO ACADIANA BUSINESS OWNERS, POLICY MAKERS AND COMMUNITY GAME CHANGERS. COME HAVE A DRINK, LEARN AND MEET SOMEONE NEW!

SMALL-GROUP PAIRINGS OF MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF ACADIANA’S “INNER CIRCLE” – MENTORS ARE REPRESENTATIVE LEADERS IN BUSINESS, CIVIC WORLD, AND COMMUNITY. THIS SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM HAS YIELDED COUNTLESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARTICIPANTS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE MENTORING!
