Shyra is a native of Geismar, LA, and currently lives in Lafayette, LA. In 2005 she received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Business Administration and has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. since 2003.
She serves as a co-chair of Alumni Engagement for the UL Christiana Smith African American Alumni Chapter and a Provisional Advisor for the Junior League of Lafayette. She is a 2022 The705 Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals Honoree, 2023 Girls Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf Woman of Distinction Honoree, and a graduate of Leadership Lafayette Class XXXVI. Shyra serves on the CASA SoLA Board of Directors and Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women. Most recently, she has joined the Advancial Business Relations Team as the Community Relations Officer.
