Hometown – Lafayette, LA
What are one or two of your greatest business and/or community achievements?
In 2023, I received Amedisys Home Health’s Excellence Award and Best Team Player Award, recognizing strong sales performance and collaborative leadership. My career has focused on strengthening Acadiana’s healthcare market by promoting inclusivity, cooperation, and meaningful partnerships across organizations. To further this mission, I founded the private Facebook group 337 Healthcare Business Development, Marketing, and Sales, which encourages collaboration, networking, and camaraderie among healthcare professionals. I recently joined Acadian Ambulance as Community Relations Supervisor, supporting clinical initiatives while promoting improved and inclusive emergency response for the autism community.
My community involvement includes serving on the Executive Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society, where I received the inaugural Andrew Bellard Legacy Volunteer Award in 2024. I also hold board positions with the Lafayette Council on Aging, Fosters for Grandparents, and the Children’s Museum of Acadiana. In 2026, I joined the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana Marketing Committee. Additionally, I am a One Acadiana Ambassador and was named Ambassador of the Year in 2022 in recognition of my commitment to regional growth and community service. Volunteering and fundraising for nonprofit organizations have been a meaningful part of my life for many years. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my community and look forward to continuing this work for years to come. Collectively, I am proud to have helped raise more than $1.8 million in support of local community nonprofits
What’s your favorite thing about what you do for a living?
My favorite aspect of my current work is the ability to serve individuals of all ages and backgrounds, rather than being limited to a primarily geriatric population. I also value the support and respect I receive from my leadership and management team. Their trust and encouragement have created a strong sense of belonging, and I truly feel that this is where I am meant to be.
You created a community-building group to encourage partnerships in healthcare and now lead initiatives that support clinical needs and the autism community. What inspired you to start building that “we’re in this together” culture?
Well I haven’t been in the sales and business development market for too, too long. I would say in the last six years is when I started. I started off as a physical therapist assistant and then transitioned to business development, so I’m not trained in marketing or sales. I just saw that opportunity and said “Oh, well great! I like to talk to people. I like to meet people.”
But I did see when I first started that there was a huge disconnect. The competition was competition. It was a little bit more cutthroat because we wanted to meet our quotas. Around COVID is when we were encouraging each other to work with one another. So what if there’s two home health companies in the area that want to participate in this event? They’re all gonna come anyway, so why not just invite them?
I come from a very large family. Inclusivity is very important to me. I never want anybody to feel left out because it’s not fair. Just because they work for another agency or work for the competition, that doesn’t mean they’re not good people. That’s why I encourage the community to get together, market, and make friends. That way we can share resources, because the more resources we have, the better we can serve our community, and that’s a huge tool for sure.
